Biblevise exists to help people read and understand the Bible. This policy explains how we create, check and update the guides on this site, so you know what to expect from every page.

Our standard

We hold our content to the standard of 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (WEB) Every guide is tied to Scripture and read in light of the Bible’s greater narrative: God’s love for the world and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ (John 3:16). We study each passage in that context rather than in isolation. Every guide is produced independently, and no advertiser, sponsor or outside organisation influences what we publish.

Scripture comes first

  • Each guide starts from the biblical text it covers, and its claims are tied to specific chapters and verses.
  • Unless a page says otherwise, quotations come from the World English Bible (WEB), a public-domain translation.
  • When another translation is quoted, the page names it.
  • Summaries and explanations are clearly separated from direct quotations.

Our theological perspective

Biblevise writes from the beliefs set out in our Statement of Faith. Where faithful Christians hold different views, for example on end-times timelines or baptism, we say so and present the main positions fairly instead of picking a side without explanation.

How guides are created and checked

  1. Grounded in Scripture. Every guide is built from the biblical text it covers, and its points are linked to specific chapters and verses.
  2. Drafted with care. Our team writes each guide. AI tools may help with drafting or structure, but they never have the final word.
  3. Checked against Scripture and doctrine. Before publishing, a member of our team checks every page against the passages it cites and against our Statement of Faith, and corrects anything that does not hold up.
  4. Kept up to date. Published guides are reviewed and improved over time (see Updates and corrections).

Sources

When a guide relies on historical, linguistic or archaeological information beyond the Bible text, we draw on established reference works and cite them on the page. We do not cite sources we have not checked.

Updates and corrections

Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We review popular guides regularly and update them when we find a better explanation, a broken link or an error. If you spot a mistake, please contact us with the page link and the issue. We will look into it and correct confirmed errors promptly.

Free and independent

All Biblevise guides, reading plans, quizzes and printables are free. The site earns a small monthly income from display advertising, which helps cover hosting and running costs. Advertisers have no say in what we write, and ads never influence our content.
