Philippians Chapter 2 Summary

Philippians chapter 2 urges believers to cultivate unity and humility by following the example of Jesus Christ.

Summary of Philippians Chapter 2

Paul exhorts the Philippian church to strive for unity and fellowship, encouraging them to consider others’ needs before their own. He then presents Jesus Christ as the ultimate model of humility. Despite being fully God, Jesus emptied Himself, taking on human form and willingly sacrificing Himself on the cross. Because of this, God highly exalted Jesus, giving Him the name above all names.

Following Christ’s example, believers are called to live with humility and obedience, working out their salvation with fear and trembling, knowing that it is God who works in them.
