Summary of Joshua 2
As Joshua prepares to attack the city of Jericho, he sends two spies to assess its defenses. They enter Jericho and lodge at an inn run by Rahab, a Canaanite prostitute. The king of Jericho learns of the spies and sends soldiers to apprehend them. Rahab, however, hides the spies, recognizing that the God of Israel is behind their success. She negotiates a deal with the spies, promising to protect them in exchange for her household’s safety during the Israelite invasion. The spies agree and devise a plan for their escape.
