Summary of Genesis Chapter 33
Fearing Esau’s anger over being tricked out of his birthright and blessing, Jacob meticulously plans their meeting. He divides his family into groups, sending the most vulnerable in the back, and prepares lavish gifts for Esau.
Upon seeing Esau approaching with 400 men, Jacob bows down seven times in submission. However, to Jacob’s surprise, Esau embraces him warmly, tears of forgiveness flowing freely.
