Exodus Chapter 3 Summary

Exodus chapter 3 introduces a pivotal moment in the Israelites’ story where Moses encounters God.

Summary of Exodus 3

While tending sheep far from Egypt, Moses encounters a burning bush that miraculously remains unconsumed. Through the bush, God reveals Himself to Moses, declaring Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God instructs Moses to tell the Israelites that He will deliver them from slavery and take them to the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. This encounter forever alters the path of Moses’ life.
